For a good cause

On 27 September, the same day as the torch concert, there was also the “Treppauf treppab für den guten Zweck” (Up the stairs, down the stairs for a good cause) charity run with record-setting runner Marek Schuster.
 
Jens Harti and the young members of the SV Delphin swim team really went the extra mile with their trainers. Altogether the steps were scaled and descended 1231 times. Counting the donations made by the sponsors for each completed lap and the entry fees, a total of €1366 was collected. This money will help the Bunter Kreis to care for seriously ill children.
We would like to sincerely thank all those who participated.
 
Following the charity run, there was a torch concert with the band Rumpelstil. The children of Augsburg once again took delight from the 6th torch concert performed by the beloved musical group. The concert was held in the evening on Elias-Holl-Platz.
 
We are pleased that response to our efforts has been so enthusiastic.
